About
The Full Story
My name is Leah Chaney, and I am a Lifestyle and Wellness Coach and an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer based in Baltimore, Maryland. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a concentration in Youth Services. I graduated from the illustrious Morgan State University in 2016. I began to train in mixed-martial arts in 2004, studying Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and Kickboxing. It was here that an intense passion for fitness and self-defense ignited. I trained and competed throughout elementary, middle, and high school, eventually becoming an instructor for youth and women in both Washington, DC and the surrounding Prince George's County and Baltimore area. Leaning Into Life is my chance to pay it forward to my community while doing what I love the most.

The Global Wellness Institute defines wellness as the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic health. Here, at Leaning Into Life, this is what I embody. We focus on 6 aspects of wellness, including social, physical, environmental, spiritual, emotional, and occupational. We move in "active pursuit" -setting intentions, choices, and actions that move us towards an optimal state of health and well-being.
